Marcher dans l\u2019art de Photoclimat est une mani\u00e8re d\u2019entrer dans la photo contemporaine au c\u0153ur de Paris.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">Saint-Merry-Hors-les-Murs conna\u00eet bien l\u2019organisateur, Nicolas Henry, puisqu\u2019il a install\u00e9 plusieurs fois dans l\u2019\u00e9glise des <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voir-et-dire.net\/?Nicolas-Henry-Les-cabanes-de-nos-grands-parents\">\u0153uvres prolif\u00e9rantes et joyeuses<\/a>, notamment pour les cr\u00e8ches de No\u00ebl. Dans Photoclimat, il est artiste (\u00e0 Saint-Eustache) et commissaire &nbsp;de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement, connaissant bien les probl\u00e8mes climatiques et encore plus les photographes les plus int\u00e9ressants sur ce sujet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">\u00c0 Saint-Merry, six photos de Leila Alaoui sont accroch\u00e9es sur les grilles de protection des vitraux c\u00f4t\u00e9 place Stravinsky. Cette artiste franco-marocaine est malheureusement d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e trop t\u00f4t des suites d\u2019un attentat terroriste \u00e0 Ouagadougou en 2016. Internationalement reconnue, elle faisait alors l\u2019objet d\u2019une exposition majeure \u00e0 la Maison Europ\u00e9enne de la Photographie. Elle affirmait la dignit\u00e9 des sujets et la force de leurs racines, sa d\u00e9marche visait \u00e0 rassembler les traditions en train de se perdre, \u00e0 la cr\u00eate de l\u2019ethnographie et de l\u2019art. Mais c\u2019est bien la conception du portait d\u2019Avedon qu\u2019elle reprenait \u00e0 son compte&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp; <em>un portrait est l\u2019image de quelqu\u2019un qui sait qu\u2019il est photographi\u00e9. Et ce qu\u2019il fait de cette connaissance est aussi important que ses v\u00eatements et son attitude. Il est impliqu\u00e9 dans ce qui s\u2019est pass\u00e9, et il influence le r\u00e9sultat<\/em>. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">Ses photos ont une forte dimension picturale et font penser aux tableaux de Van Dyck ou du Tintoret. Elles \u00e9clairent la fa\u00e7ade grise de Saint-Merry, en utilisant le m\u00eame syst\u00e9matisme (fond sombre, frontalit\u00e9), laissant une large place \u00e0 la magnificence des v\u00eatements, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 faire oublier les corps. Chez Leila Alaoui, ce sont les regards qui r\u00e9v\u00e8lent les visages, et dont on se souvient, car ils vous regardent fixement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\"><em>&nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;Puisant dans mon propre h\u00e9ritage, j\u2019ai s\u00e9journ\u00e9 au sein de diverses communaut\u00e9s et utilis\u00e9 le filtre de ma position intime de Marocaine de naissance pour r\u00e9v\u00e9ler dans ces portraits la subjectivit\u00e9 des personnes que j\u2019ai photographi\u00e9es. [\u2026]. Ce projet constitue une archive visuelle des traditions et des univers esth\u00e9tiques marocains qui tendent \u00e0 dispara\u00eetre sous les effets de la mondialisation. Cette mani\u00e8re hybride de concevoir le documentaire fait \u00e9cho \u00e0 la d\u00e9marche corrective postcoloniale que de nombreux artistes contemporains engagent aujourd\u2019hui afin d\u2019\u00e9carter de l\u2019objectif l\u2019exotisation de l\u2019Afrique du Nord et du monde arabe tr\u00e8s largement r\u00e9pandue en Europe et aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Le Maroc a longtemps occup\u00e9 une place singuli\u00e8re dans cette utilisation de la culture historique \u2013 en particulier des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de l\u2019architecture et des costumes nationaux \u2013 pour construire des fantasmes d\u2019un \u201cailleurs\u201d exotique. Les photographes utilisent souvent le Maroc comme cadre pour photographier des Occidentaux, d\u00e8s lors qu\u2019ils souhaitent donner l\u2019impression de glamour, en rel\u00e9guant la population locale dans une image de rusticit\u00e9 et de folklore, en perp\u00e9tuant de ce fait le regard condescendant de l\u2019orientaliste.
