L\u2019\u0153uvre centrale de la chapelle de la R\u00e9surrection \u00e0 Luxembourg, complexe et puissante, offre \u00e0 nos regards l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation visuelle de la R\u00e9surrection par cet humaniste chr\u00e9tien qu\u2019est Maxim Kantor. <br>La chronique de Jean Deuz\u00e8mes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cet article publi\u00e9 le 21 mars 2023 traduit une interpr\u00e9tation visuelle de l&rsquo;\u00c9vangile de Marc, lu cette ann\u00e9e pour P\u00e2ques 2024.  Il permet d&rsquo;accompagner la semaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-lead has-large-font-size\" id=\"un-retable\"><strong>Un retable<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">Le tableau <em>Les Trois Marie<\/em> de grand format (3 x 3,3 m) occupe la partie centrale d\u2019un ensemble de 14 tableaux r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en 2021, tel un immense retable sur les murs de la <a href=\"https:\/\/saintmerry-hors-les-murs.com\/2023\/03\/17\/la-chapelle-de-la-resurrection-luxembourg\/\">chapelle de la R\u00e9surrection<\/a>, nom donn\u00e9 par l\u2019artiste \u00e0 la chapelle contemporaine de la Luxembourg School of Religion &amp; Society (LSRS). Ensemble des tableaux composant le retable<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">En assemblant des \u00e9l\u00e9ments symboliques, connus ou construits par lui, l\u2019artiste produit une complexit\u00e9 d\u2019autant plus intrigante, qu\u2019il n\u2019y a pas de cartel&nbsp;: c\u2019est sa mani\u00e8re sp\u00e9cifique d\u2019interpr\u00e9ter les Textes. Comme toute son \u0153uvre est une vaste r\u00e9flexion sur l\u2019Histoire, le pouvoir, la culture et la foi, le spectateur se trouve plong\u00e9 dans l\u2019univers d\u2019un \u00ab&nbsp;expressionniste existentiel&nbsp;\u00bb, il est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter \u00e0 son tour. Rendre vivants les Textes, c\u2019est les interpr\u00e9ter ensemble et sans cesse. Maxim Kantor le fait avec son pinceau, dans les couleurs et les d\u00e9tails, et affirme&nbsp;ici : \u00ab&nbsp;<em>Nous sommes tous debout, tous les jours devant le tombeau vide.&nbsp;<\/em>\u00bb (Propos tenus lors de conf\u00e9rence du 16 mars)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-lead has-large-font-size\" id=\"un-tableau\"><strong>Un tableau<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">Au centre, le tombeau vide, auquel sont confront\u00e9es les trois Marie, peintes aux visages de ses proches&nbsp;; on reconna\u00eet notamment la femme de l\u2019artiste debout au centre, une autre court comme Marie-Madeleine dans les \u00c9vangiles. Les femmes<a href=\"#_ftn1\" id=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> ne se lamentent pas, elles s\u2019interrogent. C\u2019est l\u2019artiste qui s\u2019interroge et cherche des perspectives de sens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">Le sarcophage est d\u00e9cor\u00e9 comme dans les plus anciennes traditions royales&nbsp;; mais ce sont des figures dessin\u00e9es<a id=\"_ftnref2\" href=\"#_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> de rois portant les masques du pouvoir, de chevaux, d\u2019esclaves, puis\u00e9es dans les cultures babylonienne, \u00e9gyptienne, romaine. La derni\u00e8re est celle d\u2019un homme contemporain qui chemine, une silhouette des tableaux de l\u2019artiste sur l\u2019exil&nbsp;; elle repr\u00e9sente la suite des pouvoirs dans l\u2019Histoire. Le reste \u2013 gris, bleu, noir\u2013 est d\u00e9solation. Tout est bris\u00e9. Mais, dans ce tableau, il n\u2019y a ni Ressuscit\u00e9, ni ange, ni linge.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Ci-dessus : Youssef Al-Musawwer,<em> Ic\u00f4ne de L\u2019Anastasis<\/em>, 1645, 81x 63 cm (Collection Abou Adal) \u00a9Narthex  et <em>L&rsquo;apparition de l&rsquo;ange aux femmes Myrophores,<\/em> fin du XVe si\u00e8cle &#8211; d\u00e9but du XVIe, &nbsp;81&nbsp;\u00d7&nbsp;62,5 cm, Mus\u00e9e russe, Saint-P\u00e9tersbourg, \u00a9 Zheny Mironosicy u Groba Gospodnja<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 34%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">Les ruines sont celles d\u2019un temple grec<a href=\"https:\/\/saintmerry-hors-les-murs.com\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=37590&amp;action=edit#_ftn3\">[3]<\/a> symbolisant la culture, et les d\u00e9bris ceux d\u2019une sculpture de Mercure, dont la t\u00eate cass\u00e9e a le visage de l\u2019artiste.&nbsp; Il y a l\u00e0 une allusion au temple de Mercure qui se trouvait \u00e0 Rome au centre du Circus Maximus, le pr\u00e9nom de Kantor\u2026 Ce qui est bris\u00e9 \u2013 le pied, la main, le caduc\u00e9e &#8211; , ici, c\u2019est la fonction m\u00e9diatrice entre les dieux et les hommes. J\u00e9sus \u00e9tait non pas le m\u00e9diateur de Dieu, mais son fils.<br>Cette t\u00eate au sol est ambig\u00fce. Elle traduit la reconnaissance par l\u2019artiste de faire partie de cette grande culture et peut-\u00eatre une mise en perspective de sa mort. L\u2019\u00eele, son v\u00e9ritable atelier, est le cadre du tombeau vide&nbsp;; il y pousse cependant une fleur de longue tige d\u2019esp\u00e9rance &#8211; le lys&nbsp;? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">Dans cet espace de la stup\u00e9faction surgissent des signes.
